Good value but quality could still be better

Been using CCTV for many years at home with home made PC based analogue systems.
Ordered this system as it seems unbelievable value for 4 IP cams with an NVR.
Ordered mine through Amazon, installed my own 1TB SATA HD and all was going well until I tested one camera in dark conditions. The NVR gave up after just 3 mins of use. I think the PSU blew up so I returned the whole lot with the cams back to Amazon.
Ordered again and this one has been OK, except that the SATA power lead was not long enough this time to reach the HD when mounted in the pre drilled holes. Was long enough in the previous unit. Had to make up an extension.
So all in all there are some minor niggles such as this with the NVR.
Would benefit with a pre-rec setting for motion detection.
My android would not download the app from the QR image. Invalid path.
The cameras are well made though and produce clear images.
So would recommend but be prepared for possible niggles.
